Cory Losenicky received his Bachelor’s Degrees in Communication Studies, Theatre Education, English, and Military Science from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997; furthermore, he received his Masters in Theatre Education from UNI in 2002. He began his career at an inner-city high school in Iowa where he started their Theatre program.  He is currently the Theatre Director at Greenway High School in Phoenix, AZ.  He served on the Arizona Thespian Board for nearly a decade, rising to the rank of State Director and President of the AIA Theatre Board before retirement.  Losenicky was the Theatre Teacher of the Year in the Northern Region of Arizona in 2011-2012, and he has worked extensively with the Department of Education implementing CTE programing in technical theatre education, working as the CTSO Liaison for many years.  During his tenure, Greenway has taken a show, The Breakfast Club, to  State Festival, received numerous awards, and emerged as one of the premiere high school theatre programs in the state. Losenicky has worked onstage, as well as backstage, in many professional productions before he started teaching. During a summer in NYC, he attended the prestigious acting school The Circle in the Square.  He has worked professionally as a Stage Manager and as a Lighting Designer.
